Undoubtedly stadiums, shopping centres, places of worship, CBD locations and public venues where people gather on an event day or during a particular season are high on the list of sites to be protected. Leda has completed several high security projects installing HVM bollards, crash rated gates and barriers for stadiums, shopping malls and other prominent iconic locations in Australia, thereby protecting people and assets from hostile vehicle intrusions. The growing demand to install impact rated bollards on busy sites often means encountering sub-pavement services which may need to be relocated to accommodate conventional deep concrete footings. In many instances it may be impossible to obtain the required depth of footing or be able to excavate around existing services. In designing a solution, Leda engineers have developed a cost-effective alternative to conventional reinforced concrete strip footings. Leda’s shallow mount technology allows the installation of impact rated security bollards in locations where we encounter services, cables and tree roots causing less disruption. LEDA with access to the best UK and European HVM products, together with its own manufacturing plant in Tuggerah, NSW and as part of ARA Manufacture, utilising state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Derrimut, VIC and Regency Park, SA.
