– 1 – ISSUE 28  | NEWS NEWSLETTER ISSUE 28 Introducing Lochrin Combi™ SL2 from Lochrin Bain PAGE 12 Thanks to our newsletter sponsors, Highway Care! T: 01622 734215 E: info@highwaycare.com W: www.highwaycare.com Perimeter Protection Group goes GREEN PAGE 2 Shakespeare’s birthplace protected by Marshalls PAGE 7 Listening to members current experiences it is good to know that most of you are back up and running even if this is not at full capacity just yet, however there will inevitably be a number of corporate casualties as a result of the pandemic and I would urge those affected to seek assistance from any and all avenues available to them. I would also ask members to support each other in these difficult times by collaborating where practical either in procurement or sub-contract terms, as this will be of benefit to the industry as a whole. Let’s all hope for a continuation of the improvements that we have seen over the last couple of months and we get closer to normality once again. The PSSA team is here to help if needed so please do not hesitate to get in touch. On another note - with ‘live’ exhibitions still some time away in reality – Counter Terror Business is hosting an online webinar - Event Management Security on 8th October. I am delighted that I have been invited to present – full details of how to register and the agenda can be found on page 11 in this latest newsletter. I very much hope you can join us. Good luck and best wishes. Paul Jeffrey Chairman Continuing through the crisis It is good to see the COVID 19 lockdown gradually easing and the reports of major project opportunities being announced are very welcome! PSSA new partner announcement The PSSA continues to develop its network and has formed two new partnerships; Counter Terror Business (CTB) and the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs). Counter Terror Business magazine is a digital publication specifically for those involved in the security and defence sector, including heads of local and central Government, procurement officials and heads of private sector concerns. This new partnership works to develop the united front needed across the industry to encourage best practices and with such a wide audience increases the reach of the PSSA. Paul Jeffrey, PSSA chairman, commented “This partnership with CTB presents a great opportunity to work together to share information between our members and the security audience – for both the PSSA and individual members.” The PSSA is now the official sponsor of the OPSAs which focus on innovative security products, inviting individuals and company nominations in a range of categories. The awards give a platform for further exposure on security products and the opportunity for PSSA members to get involved!
