The company’s products for protection and delineation can be seen in the Construction, Highways, Aviation, Ports & Nuclear sectors. Hardstaff Barriers is also a UK market leader in event Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) and Perimeter Security. Hardstaff have been trusted to protect high profile events, which include the Conservative and Labour Party Conferences, Royal Weddings and the visit of President of the United States. Hardstaff’s UK expertise has been recognised by securing similar frameworks in Europe with Dutch Police / Government exporting of Products and Services. The NBA have a stock of government owned barriers to protect events around the UK. New teammembers Hardstaff Barriers have recently increased its HVM deployment capability by welcoming two new members to the team. Jim Cotter and Tom Seals both started with the midlands-based firm in January this year as Project Managers. Jim completed a full 24-year career with the Royal Engineers prior to his last position as a project manager in the construction industry. With a Civil Engineering background in the military, Jim has a wealth of experience in completing projects in austere and demanding environments such as Afghanistan and Iraq. Jim retired in 2016 after reaching the rank of Warrant Officer. He has since worked on both residential and commercial construction projects in the Tourism and Aerospace Manufacturing sectors. His knowledge of secure establishments, and how they are built, will enhance the already experienced Hardstaff Secure Team. Tom, brings a variety of experience that lead him to Hardstaff Secure, which include a leadership role in event organisation, to commercial positions in construction. Tom’s was involved in Project Management over a two-year period at a specialist civil engineering sub-contractor and was responsible for the delivery of all UK based projects on major highway and rail schemes for that time. Tom is excited about the opportunities the Hardstaff Secure team presents, whilst simultaneously completing his degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
