– 9 – ISSUE 29  | NEWS MEMBER NEWS Cova see demand for high level HVM perimeter security increase three-fold during pandemic Cova (CSG) has been exceptionally busy during the pandemic as large commercial and government properties remain largely empty. What seemed an almost global standstill, with crowded places embargoed and large corporate buildings left empty, the risk of a vehicle borne attack has been present throughout. With the UK threat level rising from ‘substantial’ to ‘severe’ last month CSG has seen the demand for high level HVM perimeter security increase three-fold in this unpredictable market landscape. Like most businesses having to adapt to working differently, despite some minor challenges at the beginning of the pandemic, together CSG has still been able to meet and exceed the increasing demands of fulfilling orders to secure buildings globally. Working in line with government recommendation for manufacturing businesses to continue throughout, CSG’s dedicated Production Team have delivered some very high-profile projects for clients all around the world including UK and international iconic Football and Cricket Stadiums, National Heritage Stonehenge, many Metropolitan Police Stations, and many global international data centres, including the UK. New people and promotions at Cova Even during these uncertain times and with the influx of further projects on the horizon for the foreseeable future, CSG said it was proud to have promoted and recruited a number of positions around the business to ensure the company could step up to the increasing demand for perimeter security. Following three years with CSG and securing some of the largest projects and contracts to date, Nathan Jones was welcomed on to the Board of Directors as Sales Director. With this new Directorship in place, the natural flow of internal promotion was for Nathan Clark, taking on the role of Sales Engineer, having only been with the company for 18 months. This was recognition of the hard work, dedication and learning undertaken in such a short time. Nathan’s role is now being undertaken by Reece Smith as Sales Assistant/Administrator who joined CSG at the end of September. Jonathan Cowan was promoted to Senior Electrical Design Engineer following a successful career with CSG since 2012. But there is no stopping there, due to the continued high demand for perimeter security CSG will be recruiting new roles right across the business in the new year within its Operations, Production, Field Service and another role to join the growing Sales Team. The race is still very much on for CSG to continue to design, manufacture and install high-quality products at the earliest opportunity. Nathan Jones, Cova Sales Director said: “Cova have always been at the forefront of innovation within the sector. It never ceases to amaze me just how much reach and influence that our products have in the marketplace, but when the stringent processes we employ are married with our world class design, engineering, and manufacture. It is no surprise that we are winning projects and getting our products specified with so many new opportunities both in the UK and abroad. The future is looking very bright for Cova, with no sign of demand slowing down to secure our products.” Nathan Jones was welcomed on to the Board of Directors as Sales Director Nathan Clark promoted to Sales Engineer Jonathan Cowan promoted to Senior Electrical Design Engineer
