ISSUE 22 March 2019  | NEWS – 5 – PSSA Member News Hardstaff Barriers invest in future growth by expanding vehicle fleet Hardstaff Barriers have taken delivery of new plant and vehicles with leading technologies increasing its own in-house capacity and capability. During the past 12 months Hardstaff Barriers have made a £700,000 investment in specialist forklifts, vehicle and trailers which forms part of wider investment programme during 2019. Hardstaff Barriers Director Dave Todd said: “By investing in our own fleet of specialist plant and vehicles, we will be leading in deployments of Perimeter Security and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation protecting major events - for example during 2018 major events including two Royal Weddings, and the visit of President Donald Trump. We operate in a wide range of other sectors including Highways, Aviation, Ports and Nuclear, delivering innovations and products for protection and delineation, ensuring safety of both workforce and general public. By providing an in-house expert capability we are very proud to be setting new standards, using very best enhanced safety technologies and increased efficiencies.” Dave added, “In addition to upgrading existing plant, all new vehicles and machines are fitted with a wide range of high specification features designed to maximise safety and productivity, including; red light exclusion zones on plant, 360° vision cameras vehicles, which enables drivers to have a full view of their surroundings, also lift capacity indicators, which ensure safe lifting operations at all times. We have also invested in microlise telematics – which collects and analyses data to enhance productivity. This helps our operators with safety compliance.” Hardstaff Barriers have made a £700,000 investment in specialist vehicles to assist with future growth Harper Chalice tie up Middle East Partnership Building Defence Systems and Harper Chalice have formed a new partnership in the Middle East to promote and sell the Perimeter Security solutions manufactured by Harper Chalice. Harper Chalice is a manufacturer of specialist electronic perimeter security detection systems. All of the company’s systems are manufactured in the UK and are independently tested and approved for use on the highest security level sites. With 20 years’ experience in the high security market, their systems have a proven performance and are a leading provider of perimeter detection systems. The range of Perimeter Intrusions Detection (PID) systems manufactured by Harper Chalice include Microphonic PIDS for the protection of Fences andWalls as well as Electric Pulsed Security fence for additional deterrent and detection. Building Defence Systems, based in Bahrain, will add the complete range of system manufactured by Harper Chalice to their product offering and will promote the solutions across the Middle East region.
