ISCWest 2019 is in the industry’s rear-view mirror, and what a show it was! The busy three days in Las Vegas in April offered a preview of exciting technologies and industry trends for the coming year. The show attracted more than 30,000 professionals across the security sector. With physical security representatives from manufacturers, installers and consultants, this was an opportunity to increase worldwide awareness of the PSSA brand and perimeter security standards. PSSA Chairman Paul Jeffrey attended the event on behalf of the PSSA. Paul reported a successful show for the association, he said,“With such a large exhibition I am delighted with the high number of strong expressions of interest received - with applications already processing from a number of potential members. Hopefully more will follow.” Paul added, “During the event I gave a speech to the Security Industry Association (SIA), which is the United States trade association for global security providers. The SIA have a new sub-committee for high security perimeter products and requested that the PSSA gave a presentation. This provided us with the opportunity to communicate to many manufacturers, installers and Government officials. Delegates in the audience showed a great deal of interest in the PSSA. It was also noted that the UK market lead the way in perimeter products, which was encouraging for PSSA members looking to expand in the region.” Paul concluded, “The next steps will be to look at how forging a link between the PSSA and SIA will be mutually beneficial to both associations.” ISC West provided the opportunity to increase worldwide awareness of the PSSA brand
