Since the 1980s, Barkers have been manufacturing fencing at their one stop shop fabrication and metal treatment facility. With a strong track record in securing maximum security environments and critical national infrastructure Barkers have been a trusted supplier for many years. The Barkers name will remain, but the new visual identity reflects both the evolution of the company as well as its vision for the future. The new logo and branding represent their expertise in the sector as well as the friendliness and approachability of their well-established team. In addition to the fencing business, Barkers also have two other trading divisions; Barkers Finishing who provide a galvanizing and powdering coating service and Barkers Fasteners who supply and distribute fasteners and fixings. These have been brought under the Barkers brand for consistency and to show their strength as one company. Barkers will continue to focus on providing a secure helping hand for customers from beginning-to-end using their wealth of experience and technical expertise. The rebrand, coupled with their new website, which is set to launch in the summer, will raise the profile of the firm’s online presence and help to increase brand awareness. Bristorm partners, ESCO, deploy HVM around Singapore Transport Hubs Bristorm’s partners in Singapore, ESCO, have recently completed several schemes across the region successfully deploying Impeder Bollards and the Bristorm Beam Fence around major transport hubs in the city. ESCO have been exclusive partners since Q1 2018; their experience, knowledge and internal capabilities have allowed them to win large tenders consistently throughout SEA; supported commercially and technically by the Bristorm Hill & Smith team, their success is forecast to continue throughout 2019. We are also in the process of securing 18 electrical substations island wide using a combination of our shallow Beam and Bollard solutions!” Bristorm Impeder Bollards are tested to BSI PAS 68 and IWA 14-1; designed to protect Critical National Infrastructure and crowded places from hostile vehicular attacks, the Impeder Bollards will mitigate vehicles travelling at speeds up to 50mph. Our shallow mount HVM Beam is tested to BSI PAS 68 and will stop a 7500kg vehicle, travelling up to 30mph, in 0.3m; coupled with our Impeder Bollards, any site perimeter can be secured without disrupting on site operations.
