Success at IFSEC 2017
Frontier Pitts enjoyed a very successful IFSEC exhibition at Excel in
London, showcasing our innovative physical security solutions.
As a previous Winner of the IFSEC Physical Security of the Year
Award, Frontier Pitts look forward to the annual must attend event
for the Security Industry.

Theme Park/Attraction attendance
In light of the recent tragic events that occurred across the UK,
reports show a decrease in visitor numbers across main commercial
parks and theme parks including, The London Eye and Lego Land.
Merlin Entertainment have detailed in many press releases the
decline in visitor numbers as a result of these terrible attacks but
suggests this decrease will continue even as the summer holidays
approach. Each year, the domestic demand is limited towards the end
of Q.2 but further deterioration has been identified and there is little
growth to suggest it’ll change in the summer months.
The overall impact of these attacks is unclear. But it appears that
families and tourists are understandably choosing to avoid crowded
locations with heavy infrastructure. Business owners should continue
to make efforts in ensuring all people are, and feel, appropriately
protected from terrorists’ activities.

Loss Prevention Standard LPS 1175 covers the“Requirements and Testing
Procedures for the LPCB Approval and Listing of Intruder Resistant Building
Components, Strongpoints, Security Enclosures and Free Standing Barriers”
Products tested and approved to this standard are widely recognised by
Government Agencies, Local Authorities,
Banks, Insurance Companies and many other
large organisations as being an effective
means of protecting people and assets; thus
reducing the risks of loss to crime or terrorism.
Tests on security doors are carried out
under laboratory conditions, using different
attack times and tools, depending on their
designated security rating.
