Avon Barrier chooses Intersec Dubai for the 8
th
time to show its latest range of impact-tested anti-
terrorist vehicle blocking products.
Avon Barrier has chosen to exhibit at Intersec,
Dubai 2016 to show their latest range of
impact tested Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM)
products. Their 8
th
time at Intersec reflects their
previous and continual growing success in the
Middle East market.
To meet the specialist and often demanding
requirements of anti–terrorist vehicle products
for the Middle East, Avon Barrier has further
developed its product line to include advanced
new impact tested bollards, gates, road blockers
and barriers. Avon Barrier’s products are impact
tested to ensure they are suitable to combat
todays ever increasing threat type, tested to
PAS68 and now also testing to the new global
standard, IWA 14-1.
The company’s stand no S2-C10 will feature
details of their newest products; the Garrison
Ballistic Protection Gate and the SSF100,
believed to be the world’s first impact tested
super shallow bollards with a foundation
depth of just 100mm.
The impact tested road blockers have been
particularly successful in the Middle East
where they are being used to protect critical
infrastructure against risk of terrorism attack
including extreme Vehicle Borne Improvised
Explosive Devise (VBIED). Road Blockers are
designed for ease of installation and include
options of a traditional deep blocker (RB1000 &
RB780), a shallow foundation blocker (RB880)
and a surface mounted blocker (RB980),
depending on the installation and risk. The
RB1000 road blocker is also available as an
optional HCIS road blocker specifically designed
to comply with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s
(KSA) ministry of interior.

At TRS in December 2015, Avon Barrier chose
to exhibit their latest range of impact tested
hostile vehicle mitigation solutions. Their
second appearance at Transport Security
underlines the company’s fast growing success
in the aviation and rail markets and also
highlights the number of recently developed
products that are especially suitable for the
transport industries high security requirements.
The international company has experienced
sales success in the aviation and rail sectors,
thanks to its proven technology and wide range
of products. The Company is showing its latest
developments, particularly designed to counter
terrorist attacks or hostile vehicle attacks.
The range includes static and rising bollards,
road blockers, sliding armoured gates and rising
arm barriers, along with their two new products:
A super shallow foundation bollard, the Avon
Resilience Bollard with a foundation depth of
just 100mm and the Avon Garrison Ballistic Gate
which can withstand a BR6 weapon attack.

The new SSF100 Resilience Bollard has been
physically impact tested to the latest IWA 14-1
impact standard and provides vital protection
for perimeters of buildings, believed to be
the world’s first impact tested bollard with a
foundation depth of just 100mm and is ideal
for sites with foundation depth restrictions.
