NEW SUBS SCALES FOR 2015/16
It is not often that a trade association can report a reduction in
membership subscriptions but that is what the PSSA has planned
for the new subscription year starting on 1st July. The old flat
rate for full members of £2,500 (ex VAT) is now replaced by a
tiered system to reflect the relative sizes of companies. Members
with a relevant turnover in perimeter security products of less
than £1 million will now pay just £995 – the same rate as installer
membership which is frozen for another year. The top rate (which
remains at £2,500) is not reached until a company has a relevant
turnover in excess of £10 million. The new rates were agreed at the
May meeting of the PSSA Council.
Secretary to the Council, Rob Oliver, explained, “The new rates are
a result of the Council listening to smaller members’ concerns that
subs plus the costs of being part of the Verification Scheme can be
disproportionate to their current sales into the high security sector.
By addressing this issue, we feel that the door is now more wide
open for new members to join us, as we build on the success of our
early years. This is very much a mark of the PSSA “coming of age””.

Installer membership is a set rate of £950.
Continuing members will be approached by the PSSA office to
confirm their turnover to take advantage of the new rates.

Associate MembersWelcome!
The PSSA Council have confirmed a new offering for companies and
individuals wanting Associate Membership. For a standard annual
membership fee of £495 (ex VAT), Associate Members will be able
to be part of the PSSA network – and draw on a number of services
available to full members. The category is designed to cater for those
companies and institutions that have already expressed an interest in
joining but for whom the Association needed to confirmmembership
terms. The category also covers enterprises that do not, at the
current time, have products and services that can be covered by the
Verification Scheme.
