ENTHUSIASM FOR PSSA AT COUNTER TERROR

The PSSA made its first public appearance at Counter Terror, held in April at Olympia. The Association’s stand featured a promotional DVD which included crash test footage supplied by CPNI. Over the two days of the event we made contact with nearly 100 existing members, potential members and valuable industry contacts. The whole event had a positive buzz with the number of exhibitors (over 300) well up on the previous edition. The concept and work programme of the PSSA was exceptionally well received – judging from meetings and conversations with specifiers, government agencies, installers and suppliers. All could see the value of an independent company and product certification scheme and the development of a single source listing of certified products (i.e. the LPCB “Red Book”). Visitors to the stand were impressed by the roster of leading companies supporting the Association – with the result that we had a number of new membership applications as a direct result of Counter Terror. LPCB also officially recognised their tie up with the PSSA on their well situated stand and all members at the event helped promote the Association as part of their exhibits.

Particular thanks should be recorded to Paul Painter and Ian Wright of Zaun and Steve Gaffer of Frontier Pitts for organising the stand and marketing collateral – together with the many PSSA directors and members who took time out to staff our stand.
