PSSA Product Verification Scheme – PRICE LIST
The fees associated with application, assessment, registration and product listing are described below. Please note that all fees are subject to VAT at the current rate.
Application Fee
Initial Application Fee (Non-refundable) - £450
Applications are assessed for completeness prior to assessment and support provided to applicants where needed. The fee also covers processing the application and quotation preparation. Access is provided to the PSSA Intranet and a dedicated space provided to allow applicants to prepare for assessment. The fee is not refundable if the applicant withdraws.
Assessment Fees
The assessment fees are comprised of two parts, a management system assessment fee and a product evaluation fee, which varies according to the range and complexity of products submitted for verification.

These fees include:
- Remote support to members throughout the three year assessment cycle and provision of detailed reports, as outlined in Scheme documents
- Onsite assessment costs for initial management system reviews
- Assessor costs for surveillance desk review in years 2 and 3
- Use of the HPA online platform through which continuous assessment and review takes place
Product Evaluation fees
A technical compliance assessment is conducted in parallel to the above by a suitably qualified engineer. The specific fee chargeable will vary according to the volume and complexity of the product(s) submitted. Fees are charged at a daily rate as follows:

Annual Registration Fee
Annual Registration Fee - £500
Apart from the fees for assessment work above, there is an annual charge for maintaining certification.
This fee includes:
- Listing in the industry catalogue of verified products (irrespective of the number of products listed)
- Contribution towards 30% sampling onsite surveillance visits required to maintain system integrity
- Use of the PSSA Intranet and dedicated Scheme resources
- A contribution to running the Scheme
Expenses
Travel and out of pocket expenses will be charged at cost. In cases where non-refundable travel or subsistence expenses have been incurred they will be reclaimed from Members in cases of cancellation; refer to Agreement.-
