FIRST SECTOR CERTIFICATION SCHEME

The PSSA has launched a programme with leading certification agency the LPCB to establish an independent certification body for companies, products and services involved in the demanding and strategically important, perimeter security business.

This is the first initiative of its kind in Europe designed to ensure that customers can purchase products that are manufactured, tested and installed to the highest standards.
Manufacturers and importers of high performance products should contact the PSSA to ensure that they are in at the start of this important project. The PSSA is also keen to reach out to specifiers, consultants and installers for their input to help develop the scheme.

LPCB is a non-profit organisation which is part of the Building Research Establishment (BRE). They are best
know for their “Red Book” series of certification products in various safety and security related sectors.
